View Full Version : NJ car of the month on NJNeco
Had an idea to run a car of the month. The monthly winner's car will appear on the opening page of the NJneco website (replacing the NJ sopranos logo). NJ members interested please reply to this post with a pic of your car. Winners will be chosen by me on a few factors.
1)Winner must be an NJ member either current or past
2)The picture. I'm looking for pic with of course your vehicle but the background scenery will gain you mucho points
3)The picture must be of your 99-02 Mercury Cougar, no purple neons or maximas please
If anyone would like to help me in the judging of photos, please shoot me a PM. The first winner will be announced in a about 2 weeks and their car will run for the month of June.

I thought this was the coolest looking one, since there's not many places where I live with a decent background.

i think this one is hot ... i haven't taken any new pics of my car lately
Thanks for all the entries. Since today is June 1st I made my decision. I chose IntenseImage's car for the first pic to be on the opening page of the website until July 1st.
All entries submitted will still be considered for july. Please continue to submit new photos for consideration.

How about a pic from a future member? On that note, what are the membership requirements? I checked out the website, didn't seem to have much information about the club. Anyway, my name's Ed Noepel and I just got my 99 2.5 MTX a few weeks ago. I'm looking forward to some meets this summer.

Welcome to NECO!! Hope you enjoy it as much as I have. Nothing beats being able to work on your car thanks to the knowledge of hundreds of people who have done the same things you plan on doing. It's a great help. I am not from NJ, but usually requirements just include being active on the boards. Have a good time.

wow, outta staters telling him how to join njneco
We used to be a lot more firm on rules and requirements, but given the universal laws of laziness and lack of concern, we've pretty much started to not required anything.
It used to be members needed to be active posters on these message boards and interact with your fellow members. There was also a quota of attending at least 1 meet a year, i believe we may have even required more. None of them are really enforced because frankly, nobody really cares to anymore.
So bottom line....welcome aboard, stick around and chat with folks, find out about meets and come on out to visit, most meets happen in the central/northern section of the state and usually at like 2 locations, so its never hard to get used to the drive. Most of all go to http://www.cougardb.com and fill out the forms
If ya need anything just ask, im the guy in the way bottom of the state
