Okay... the sole reason for this thread is to see if there are any LICENSED SCCA safety stewards in NECO, and hopefully one that intends on attending CougarFest.

Looks like we'll just have to force Guido to come.

Why would we do that? "Soon" is this time next year.

I assumed soon was sooner than that.

Yeah, I'll have my license sometime next year. It takes two years to become a safety steward, and this year is my first year. :(

Upping the Ante...
The first person that can committ a LICENSED SCCA safety steward to Fest will get 1 free room for him/her and the steward as well as free registration and track fees for both the steward and the member that brings said safety steward.
i need to know by the end of the week, or else i'll have to take a different path...

Have you tried contacting the local SCCA region? I would think/hope they could have a local safety steward come out to certify the course.
I know one of our local SS's went to check a course that was going to be used for a charity event not to long ago. Usually if you promise them something like free food, they'll come out.

Yes, and believe me i've promised at least free food.

Why is it that we need a licensed SCCA safety steward? Is it a requirement of the host facility, insurance, etc? Just curious...
