Hey, I new to your boards. I was told that you all might be interested in a track day. I am part of CEG and I have been organizing events for the Colorado area. Let me know if you are interested. I will have more info soon. Here is what I do know.
I GOT THE PRIVATE TRACK ! So, I need a date a.s.a.p. Does June work for everyone ? I wanted to do it early in the summer, it will have to be a Sat. or Sun. We can have up to 30 cars. So when I have a set date, I will start the sign-up sheet.
The course is 1.4 miles with 8 Turns. It has a blacktop surface and is located in Golden CO.

Course Layout : Start: Short straight way to a nice switch back, another short straight way to the widow maker corner ! (I spun once there, SLOW DOWN !! LOL) Then a long straight way into a sweeper curve (I did around 80 mph around that curve), into the longest straight way 1/4 mile into to two left curves and back to the starting line.

Here is the skinny . . . It will be $75.00 a person, money will have to be paid upfront to reserve your spot. I do except paypal and cashiers checks. If we cannot get 30 people, the cost will increase and will have to be paid the day of the event ! So, lets get 30 people ! I am looking at different insurance companies, could be cheaper then $75 a person ! Stay Tuned

We can run multiple cars at one time, and even have race events, not always against the clock ! Your insurance will have to cover any damages to any other cars if an accident occurs ! BE SAFE PEOPLE ! We will also have timed events to try to better your time. No helmets or other gear required. Seat belts are a MUST ! Let me know -B.

sounds great, but 75 is a lot to spend on that.. If it gets cheaper, i might think about it.

I'll do it for $75!

How many people do you have so far? Just want to make sure I don't end up paying an extra $75 on race day because there were only 15 people.

Please set a date so that I can confirm that I'll be there and pony up the cash!

75 bucks is actually pretty cheap for a full day at the track. most tracks are around $100 for a full day and its not private like this will be. second creek raceway in denver is about $2000 to get privately.

$75 is a great deal on the track,
but don't forget the brake pads you'll need after.. ;)

depending on when I get to CO. and my financial situation
I might be in.

Hey blackwidowsvt - you still out there? Is there any update on this? I'm going to need time to get my car prepared for this and also want to make sure it's on a day that I'll be around. Please let us know the latest!

This is so cool.

And I am so broke.

However, I may be able to scrounge up $75 for this - I haven't given blood lately. :) One question: Can we swap drivers while at the track? My fiancee would -love- to get the cougar out there for some wildness.

Well, down in New Orleans I could get $75 for plasma. Not sure about Denver, though...

Hmmmm... I'm thinking this is a no-go as we haven't heard from blackwidowsvt since the first post. Last call, blackwidow... let us know if we can plan on doing this with you!
