Location: Centered around Huntsville, AL.

activities: Dyno, 1/8th mile Drag Strip, Eating at Gibson's, Driving in the mountains, hanging out at the hotel drinking beer (once settled in for the night!) and telling dirty jokes.

When: July 30 - Aug 1 (That would be on a Friday, Saturday and Sunday for those of you that are colander challenged!)

We will be staying at the same hotel as always? That information is...

Hotel Information

Econolodge
10013 South Memorial Parkway
Huntsville, Al
PH: 1-256-881-7620

If you would like to book your own room, that is cool, but my wife and I would be happy to assist you with this. For any first timers, my wife and I have been making the hotel arrangements for all the meets that we have had in HSV. You do not have to send any money and we can get room prices below internet booking prices. Not alot, but enough to make it worth your wild. No! We do not make any money on this. We just want to make it as easy and painless as possible for everyone that can come, to be able to come.

Drag Strip Information
Huntsville Drayway is a really nice 1/8th mile track. This season, they have upgraded to the newer LED style tree. We went there last time, but was only able to get in a few runs each since we got there so late. So! To combat that... We wanted to do the Midnight Madness this time. This takes place Saturday night. Gates open at 10PM, racing starts at 11PM and runs until 2AM. The scoreboards are left on and timeslips will be handed out. This is sort of like a test and tune season that runs late into the night. It is $10 to get in to either race or watch. You take your pick.

Dyno Information
The dyno that we played on last time was a Dyno Jet 224x, which is located at Trackmasters in Huntsville. Author is the guy that is in charge of the dyno and he is great. Prices for runs can be found on the trackmasters site here. Let's try to get as many as possible this time. If not, then Hector and I will just have to have all the fun!!

I will once again organize this, so if there are any other questions about the dyno... you can contact me through PM or just post them here.

Since Midnight Madness is on Saturday night, I was wondering if everyone would want to do the dyno on Saturday or just do it Friday afternoon, like last time? Only reason I ask this, is because last time, we got held up leaving home and it put us cutting things really close getting into Huntsville. I don't want to take the risk of that happening again, but I will leave it up to the majority though.

So far, I think that is about all that we have locked in stone. But these activities will be what everything else will be worked in around. Have I left anything out? Are the dates good for everyone? We still have plenty of time to work out any kinks and add new stuff. I guess the only thing I would like to add is a Mod Day, so maybe we can make Friday afternoon and Friday Night Mod day?

So... Who's coming?? Who's planning on coming??

Everyone is welcome. Even if you can't buy your own beer! Actually, we only drink at night... after we have settled in for the night. you really should think about spending at least one night. Man we have a total blast at night. Sitting around, messing with our cars, talking about the days events... Man that is what it is all about!!

Man! We can answer them and have a great time at the same time!! Let me know if you are going to need a room and we will hook you up! We will start making hotal aragments at the beginning of the month, so let me know sometime around then.

Is that all? I see tons of Coug's over in your area and I figured that we would have a better turn-out then the last few times! We would love to see some of you Cougars there to hang with us. Maybe even make a few dyno runs, just to set the Trackmasters site straight.

I have just join the club. I just bought a 99 gold cougar that I am going to mod. I would love to show up and get ideas before I do anything. I live in Huntsville, so it would be easy to show up. Thanks alot and can't wait to meet everyone. Dean

Hey guys and gals!! I just wanted to update everyone. We are going to have to move the date of the meet up a good ways. Sorry, but one of the CEG'ers, from Chicago, is going to install a Vortech S/C'er in his ATX Zetec Tour. After he get's it tuned and running good, ge will be coming to Huntsville to make some runs on the Dyno at Trackmasters. That's we he set a baseline before, so he wants to run there again after all the work.

There's some other reason's as well, but I can assure you that we will be doing this! As of right now, we are talking about the last weekend in Oct. A few of the CEG'ers that were planning on attending this meet will be making a Dragon Run the first or second week of Oct, so we figured that if we waited until the end of Oct, that would give them plenty of time to replace their brakes before the meet in Huntsville.

One thing has been added to the schedule though.... We have a former CEGer that lives in Huntsville and we have elected his place as a good area for a BBQ. I will be smoking some ribs, so bring your empty stomachs!!
