Anyone in the GTA done a 3L conversion? I have a whole bunch of stuff lined up, and am considering going the 3L route, as I'm almost there anyway with the amount of stuff I'm doing. Would love to have a free consultation! ;)

I believe Puck Puck is the man to speak to.
He is from Windsor????

Yeah... I know he's done one. Windsor is pretty far for an emergency consultation if I go down that road though! ;) I'm thinking with all this head, cam, etc., work I'm doing, I may as well just bolt those up to a 3L block, time it, pull the 2.5, swap everything over, drop it back in.
Sounds easy when you write it in one sentence like that! When you look at that dude's pics of his engine bay with the engine pulled (in 2.5 or Ohio forum I think) I get a cold sweat thinking about tackling that!!!

Definitely not a job for the faint-of-heart.

The swap is tough, but if you know what you're doing it's not that bad. Puck's was great until the timing chain blew. There are enough rescources in the 3.0L forum that you should be fine.
Check out the Eastern Canada section of the CEG (http://www.contour.org/ubbthreads/postlist.php?Cat=&Board=eca). I know some people in there have done it.

The swap is easy, just don't damage your wiring harness like Puck did

Hmmm.... we shall see. I have a feeling it's not that easy for someone that has never changed an engine before. We'll see if DanG completes his How To!
