I beat a Twin Turbo 300ZX!

Yea I went to the strip today and beat a Factory Twin Turbo 300zx. How did I do that I don't know. Either he didn't know how to drive or his car was messed up. I don't think his car was messed up because he just kept on racing it all night. I just have a V6 MTX with a CAI. My car wasn't even running well today! I don't know how much horsepower 300ZXs like that put out but im sure its hella more than 170hp. It was a sad day for the cougar. I was beat 4 times in a row by a full size truck! However it did have a drag setup and a big block chevy engine. Im starting to believe my cougar is slower than i thought it was. Maybe a 2005 Mustang GT is in my plans for the near future.

not sure how you pulled that off or the guy was having problems. TT 300 Z should be high 13s stock. They are a heavy car but they push 300+ ponies. Hmmm


Yea the 05 stang is pretty sweet :) 3v 4.6 V8 around 300hp :thumbsup:

What did you two run? Maybe he had a bad launch and let off?

TT 300Z's run high 14s stock. they are very heavy. The NA's run like a 15.88, at least thats what my roommates run. When he was looking into mods he thought about the TT upgrade, until he saw what the ran stock. I have to admit that it is a sweet looking car and a blast to drive but there not that fast.

The curb weight of a 300ZX TT is only around 3400lbs and they have 300HP stock. They run high 13s, not high 14s... and that's if you can find one that's still bone stock. Most of the ones I see at the track run 12s.

Well it was in the 1/8th mile. I ran a 10.70 and he ran a 10.93. I had a better R/T than he did .565 compared to .848. Maybe he did let off ,im not sure. Even with that bad start ,he still should have beat me.:confused:

13.8-14.1 usually. 3500-3600lbs and 300hp. NAs can go low 15s with the right driver and track conditions.

i think he might have missed a gear or something. you know one time i ran against one of those stupid fast redneck trucks. it was the first time i ran my wrx. he was lookin at me the whole time. i went on up and staged and he does like 2 burnouts and stares at me when he's backin up. i was like, oh [censored] i'm gonna get wasted.......well, i launch it good and go on my way....he does a burnout half way down the track because he gave it to much, expecting it to hook up. 9.1 for me and he got a 10.3 or something. good times;)
