No, I'm not suggesting you NEED to take a bath, or even inviting myself to join you in the bath... but I am curious about the town of Bath, England

I am considering taking a semester abroad in the next year or two, and one of my top choices is a program that takes place in Bath... so I figured I might as well come on here and see if any of you are from that area, or have any wisdom they'd like to share with this Yank about that particular neck of your woods

Thanks in advance, and if all goes well... I'll be a part of UK neco for a few months at least

Thanks for the Links Active :)

So what is Bath like? Are there any particularly fun things to do there?

I live about an hour from Bath and can contest to it being a very desirable area to live. House prices are high. A very English town, (don't know what I mean by that), with good shopping. The Rugby team is a major draw. Bath is steeped in history and is well located for travelling to see the rest of the country. Hope this helps.:)

Am also an hour from Bath and agree a good place to visit. Apart from lots of historic buildings there is a very lively night life, good pubs, restaurants, entertainment and it has a good shopping area. Excellent connections with mainline railway, national bus route and close to motorway. Heathrow airport less than 2 hours away, Bristol airport an hour at most. Excellent centre for touring the heart of England. Downside is that it is expensive generally to stay there. Within 2 hours travelling time you can have whatever you need as far as entertainment, sport and tourist sights are concerned and throughout the year.
