i posted a reply with ur post in problems. Check your remote wire, it runs from your reciever to your amp. It is what tells the amp to turn on and off. Its a 12v., incase you want to check the amp remote in another way.

did everything die or just the amp? If the amp and you suspect the remote wire, you can make a temp jump wire from the remote on the amp to the B+ on the amp and see if it powers up. If so your remote line from the deck may have dies or shorted. If it doesn't light up, check the the power line is getting power still. if all the lines ceck out and your fuses are good..youre amp may be dead.

Yep, what lost racer said.
Your amp recieves 2 lines of power, and one ground inorder to power
The power from the battery is the power it uses, there is an inline fuse there about a ft. from the battery you.
The power from the receiever turns on when you turn your deck on, this too is a 12v. line that triggers the amp to turn on.
The Ground from the amp should be run to either the battery or mounted somewhere on the car, however it was run.

This is alls that is needed for the AMP in and of itself to turn on. As lostracer stated, if you put a small line from the connection where the power from the battery is, to the other terminal it should turn on.

There should also be a fuse or two on the amp, depending how its set up.

If your amp turns on, and not your speakers, let us know and we'll try to trouble shoot that next.
