What happened to the For Sale Section Rules??

Seriously, there has been an over abundance of For Sale posts violating the rules that were previously around. Mostly users not posting a price, and posting "best offer". To me its just wasting a lot of time and space, because no one seems to be thinking logically when posting something for sale.

How about a common courtesy thing, like if someone posts an item for sale and a price, its not cool to come in and try to start a bidding war if someone else has already called dibs. I thought the whole point of this thing was to make it NOT like eBay.

Yeah I agree with you on this.

CGBurns does lurk around once in awhile I think, but I think we do need to have some sort of stickied FAQ back in there.

I moderate for sale from time to time.... I generally lurk tho and only act when i have to..
There is one other mod who has been mod of for sale for a lot longer than me, so I try not to step on his toes.. heh.

I think that "dibs" line is a waste. someone could call dibs with no intention on buying and just drag it out on the seller. I really don't like it.

That is very true. I made a for sale post recently, and some people wanted "dibs" on some things, but then later backed out. It was just a waste of time for me, when I could've handed it off to the next person right away instead of holding on to it.

Ok, but how often can the buyer and seller instantly communicate. When I call dibs, I am ready to buy NOW.

PM's..I almost never post directly..I always PM. Unfortunately its first come first serve..But its really up to the seller.
