Just curious. Any companies use M62s or whatnot??
A Centrifugal charger is NOT the way to go on 2.5L engines. Period.

nope, you are out of luck if that's what you are wanting. speaking of superchargers, i believe the supercharger pic in your sig is a lil large ;)

Well it was about fitment...the centrifugal just fit almost perfectly in that little area where the battery is. And with a car that never had much of an aftermarket following, companies don't care to spend the time and money to use other superchargers.
I'd like to have seen a twin screw blower used on here...but it's useless now...

I have offered to do a kit but noone came up with the funds for it. It used a whipple 1.6L blower and either positioned it where the a/c was or on top of the engine with a relocated/custom engine mount.

and that there-in is the reason FI solutions for our cars are so limited
I respect your love for the cougar and your willingness to provide us with custom parts...i just wish we had the $$ to back it up!

did i miss the announcement? that's the setup i'd like, but i haven't figured out how to relocate the engine mount. last i heard from you was the post below regarding the Procharger.

I keep forgetting to reply to this post. I have the prints to put a Procharger on a coog. with a FMIC . The charger is on the pulley side B/C there is just enough room to put a belt upthrough there. There is a little fab work to do with A/C lines but other than that you don't have to relocate the battery or anything.

I was doing some more investigating on the whipple set up. I can build a custom header and place the blower on the front side of the engine with a long drive snout just above the a/c like the vortech kit. Then you don't have to relocate anything. THe only problem is heat soak in the blower. You'll have to have a pretty efficient intercooler, and make sure that the header is wraped up well. I have the flanges to make headers I had them cut a while back. I'm still on my turbo kit. I just have to get the electronics and a waste gate for it. I have everything else. I have been very busy racing, running our shop and going to college at night to finish my BS in Mechanical engineering.
