I went to the 1/8th mile strip in ridgetop tennessee last night. I have a 99 V6 MTX with only a Custom Cougars CAI. I didnt do as well as i had hoped but it was a start. Here are my times: .650 =R/T , 2.306= 60ft , 6.877= 330 ft , 9.986= 594 ft , 10.669 1/8 ET @ 65.88mph . That time was against a 98 cavalier that was modded pretty well. I won the race by .0168 of a second! The launch was freakin horrible. The wheels were hoppin all over the place. I am trying to find a set of solid motor mounts for the coog so i can get a decent reaction time.

Not bad for a first time... I ran a 10.2 in ATX of Doom with a 2.4x 60' so you should be able to get under 10 with some practice...

Yea i think I can do much better with some practice at my launch. Im hoping to dip into the 9s with a nice exhaust setup and a new suspension.

Hey Jeredan1. Next time you are heading to ridgetop let me know and I will run up there with you. I live in Madison and have been wanting to go check it out. My step-dad has an 83 280ZX that he wants to run up there too.

Where exactly is ridgetop? Curious, haven't heard of it but I haven't been in TN but 3 years now. Tracks close to Nashville area is music city raceway (1/8), one up in clarksville that's a 1/8 and where I always run, Beech Bend Raceway in Bowling Green, Ky (1/4).
If it's not to far from you, head up to Beech Bend one saturday night. Saturday's is just fun racing. Get as many runs as you want. Basically a test n tune kind of deal. I'm still playing with mine. My brother in law pulled a high 12 in it last Sept and I am starting to think it was just a freak run. Or the conditons was just right for once (Weather, humidity, barometer, track prepping, etc) as my best now is 13.06 with a 1.89 60'. I need to cut it lower and I'll hit those 12s.
But for those interested, this weekend (Fri 16th, Sat 17th) is Viper Nationals (also know it's Fords 40th Anniv mustang's in Nashville this weekend too) but I plan on heading up to beech bend to get a few more runs in. 8 - 4 Saturday is viper nationals. Then 5pm to 11pm is Saturday night fun racing. I'll get a few runs in that night.
Even on the most crowded nights you can typically see 5 to 8 runs :)
btw good run for your first time
