OK I replaced my alternator(2nd time) and battery(red top) about 4 monthes ago. I haven't been driving the car because its been cold out. so last week i start driving it again. After driving it about a week i first notice my music clipping when i turn it up. then on a couple occasions my speedo just died everything just went to 0. Then i was driving on the high way the speedo died and the car just stops! what could it be?other battery? another alternator? or what?

sounds like a bad connection somewhere
I had a weak connection when I had my battery in
the trunk and my car did the samething I found it
and it went away.
Make sure everything is tightened up go over your work again
if you don't find anything it could be the alternator is again.

I just went and made sure all connections on the battery was really tight. I jumpped the car and just let it run. I ran fine for about 20 minutes then i cut off. Right before if cut off my airbag light came on?

Your alternator is toast. CLASSIC SYMPTOMS.

Alternator possibly but I am leaning towards a loose connection on a ground. Also, you really really need to do the "red wire" mod on the alternator lead. My gauges as well as Bexcats gauges would flicker and dim and the needles would flutter back and forth just before my battery exploded in grand fasion! Jeff's was caught before it exploded luckily but we could hear the battery sizzling. The alternator was new and it ended up being the battery was just done. Dont bother taking the battery to get tested unless they open it and test the actual fluids. Autozone kept saying Jeffs battery was fine till he took it to another shop who discovered something like 5 of the 6 cells were toast.

Oh yeah- one more thing; dont waste the money on a ford alternator. Get a duralast from Autozone cuz they are cheaper and lifetime warranty. If you replaced with a ford then sorry, but its prolly toast...or soon will be.

Are you running a performance chip?

My car used to completely die before when I had my perf. chip in there. Really odd. I dont use it anymore. just a suggestion.
