Yep..they are warped once again (I have had the car for 3 years and have replaced the rotors 3 times-this will be the 4th).
What brand should I get? And what the he** could I be doing (driving style) that kills my rotors so quickly??
Hubby just gets the AutoZone whatevers and I am sick of replacing them once a year

:disgust: :mad::ugh:

Thanks for any advice.

You have an automatic, don't you?

Holding the brake pedal down after a hard stop causes warpage. The nice thing about the MTX is that when you release the brake, it doesn't just start rolling again.

I've no idea about what kind to get. Drilled rotors supposedly dissipate heat better, though; maybe that's an idea.

Autospecialty makes excellent rotors.
Stazi on CEG sells a set of 4 + bendix pads for around 230 shipped.

I have those on my Cougar, and they are excellent (I drive hard, and autocross the car, no warpage at all, no fade, no dusting)

May just be cheap rotors :shrug:

That makes sense about the hard brake, because they're hot and your still squeezing them while they're cooling down. Is it all wheel disc?

Brembo OE rotors are real nice and affordable, and they work great with any ceramic pad. Im sure you can get them at tirerack.

If you want performance, then definitely go with Power Slot or Power Stop, but obviously at a higher cost
