cleaning upper/lower intakes

Hey guys. I'm new here and i'm on CEG a lot and I just registered here earlier today. I'm thinking about cleaning my upper/lower intakes. How long does it take on average to do the whole procedure?? The onlything i'm afraid of doing is pulling out the injectors and i'm afraid of damaging them. What other things should I be aware of?? Thanks guys.

Those are for the return-style Duratec. Returnless is similar enough that you can figure it out.

Here is something about that and other How-To's that I've been wondering for quite a while. Why do you have to use a BRASS brush? Or a brush with brass bristles? Why not any other metal? Why not nylon?

I think it's just that brass is as abrasive as you can get without damaging the metal
