I just did my rear seats. We took the skins off of the foam seat, took every stich apart, restitched the new vinyl on to the original cloth, and then sewed the pieces back together. I haven't had time to hook them back up to the frame, but I'll have pictures soon.

I decided to leave the rug parts alone and only cover the cloth. The rug will be covered with another material at a later date. Just take your time and think it out and mark the pieces with numbers to remember where the pieces fit together( thats the hardest part when they are laying in front of you)

good luck if using my method!

I've been toying with the idea of how to redo my interior fabric as well. That sounds like good advice, aircougar. Now if I could just find some fabric or leather I like.

I would be interested in this as I wanted to add black suede to the middle of my seats for grip. The leather seats have you all over the place in tight corners!
