CC.com sells them in SS and aluminized steel....i think you are better off to stay with the single...i am pretty sure you get better power out if it on a four banger the you would with a dual...check the for sale frums and post in the WTB forums and then if that doesnt work you know you can get brand new at CC.com...i have never heard it but apparently it is one of the better sounding ones...sorry i cant help you out any more then that...

thanks guys but does the dual really not give as much power cause i mean i want power but i also want looks and i really dont think the single exit one would look that great over the dual exit...soo is there anyone with i4 with the borla or any dual setup??

get a custom rear pipe bent to have a centre exhaust and then buy a dual tip....that would look sweet...kinda very Cougar S ish...

i dont think exhaust modifications give you huge gains to begin with...mind you the extra 10 or so goes a long way...much better if you have headers and intake as well...i havent seen the numbers but from what i have read here you lose quite a bit of gained power when compared to the single...do you have a kit?? cause i really dig the dual tip centre exhaust..not sure about you though...i am not sure how it would look with a factory bumper though...i cant imagine it would be bad though..

first off, exhuast will only give like 3 or 4 hp at max. getting the exhuast split at the end wont make much of a difference since the exhuast is already running through one pipe to begin with. so splitting it at the end wont make much of a difference if any. that 10 hp that CC advertises is for the v6 so dont expect that kind of a gain on our 4 bangers. although, getting the exhuast to run straight out with the dual tip in the middle would look saweet.

u could concur if you had someone in this thread to concur with. but since nobody said for him to search you have nobody to concur with, thus no concurring could occur.

ok is there gonna be a problem if i try and do the middle exit exhaust thought will it run into anything or what...and can someone find a straight on shot of the middle exit dual tips i want to see if someone can photoshop it cause i have stock bumper and want to see what it will look like cause i dont plan on doing a body kit....

i dont think you will notice a differance between dual and single in power. they will both give you a slight increase, and the single might give you like 1 extra hp i would guess. but if you were truely going for preformance and no cosmetic stuff, then i would go with the single. but the single with the dual tips out the middle would look good i think, and original. but sorry i cant help with the pics or photoshop of it.

i cant imagine it would be too hard to do other then the wicked crazy long hangers you would need welded on..nothing a shop couldnt hanlde....you would also probably want to put a heat shield or wrap your pipe under the fuel tank as well....if you could even run under the tank with out hitting..the piping would more then likely just run the same route of the stock and at the end swing a 90 tothe centre of the car and then another 90 to your tips..man it would look so wicked...especially if your tips had those silencer things in them so they almost appeared to be closed off....just like th pic of the "S"

and yeah i never claimed to know the power of the two exhausts compared to eachother...and i am sure with headers and intake the single exit (or dualtip) would out preform the dual exhaust on our cars...depends on how far you really want to go with the preformance upgrades...the 10 HP was just a guessimate...a poor one at that..hehehe

another thing i totally forgot to mention about duals, if u truly want performance, the duals will weigh more. with headers+intake+exhuast ur lookin at a good 20 hp

its not going to be a significant weight. and he probably isnt going to go for a totally drag cougar. the weight gained from the duel setup, could be made up in just taking out the bottom part e rear seats probably. it would be like 1-2 lbs. you wouldnt even notice a change in preformance if you had the single setup and added a 2 lb. weight into the car.
