At a red light on the highway, next to a BMW 328i Convertible with a chick driving it. Light turns green, we both go. I could tell by the way she took off she was askin' for somethin'. So I gunned it. The entire time her rear bumper was at my fender, but as we neared 80, I slowly crept up and passed her right up! That's the one thing I love about the Cougar, you can't mess with it on the highway! I looked up the specs on this car, it has a 2.8L 190hp V6 engine with 206ft-lbs. torque, weighs about 3400lbs, and does 0-60 in about 6.8sec, and oh yea, RWD!

Both autos? I raced my friends 325i and at the start we stayed pretty even till about 90 he just started pulling on me. :shrug: They're def. highway cars also, he said it had 190hp 190lb tq. w/ a 2.5 inline 6. Either way, good job. :thumbsup:Those bimmers are sweet little cars.

With BMW's they can be quick....or guttless.
I had a buddy of mines 1997 325 convertable and it was slow as hell. He said he didn't take much care of it besides washing it. But I was VERY unimpressed.
On the other hand, my mom's lil Z3 with the 3L is slow off the line, but the powerband is awesome. I just wish the blind spots weren't so bad :)

:thumbsup: the exact thing happened to me a while back except it was two hongers haha... we were at a red light when it turned green. We tested each other till around 40Kph or so untill he floored it and by the sound it was auto. We were dead even untill I miss shifted into 3rd but when I did, I slowly caught up then passed them. It was great! The expression on the guys faces was priceless just like a mastercard commercial!
