I was comin home from school when a Silver Frost 99 or 00 pulled up next to me. Visteon body kit and had a "supercharged"sticker script on the side...also looked like body work had been done but not painted (side ducts)...Any ideas? who ever it was nice car!
"Supercharged"?!
No one I know of... No S/C Cougars registered with Capital... I still hold "Fastest Cougar in the Capital" title.. Was hoping that CougarDoug would give the green light for his turbo install to give me a run for my money, but alas... :(

Does another Duratec count? I have been reading up on the Kenny Bell S/C and plan on implementing that into an escape or mariner this coming fall. Tuned they can reach 300hp 305tq. I figure it would be cheap and fun. Definately one hell of a sleeper. The cougar then may be shipped back to WI (Or Mr. Flango in PA ;) ). There is no need for it in DC. I think we are going to only insure one vehicle anyway. Its to damned expensive. Plus an extra parking spot at our condos starts at 85 bucks a month. 300 bucks a month or more for a car that doesn't get driven is nuts.

If that S/C ever comes to life and can be implemented in the Cougar i think 305 lb/ft trq sounds a little high for my CD4E tranny

it won't fit under the cougar hood.

In stock form at 6psi it only runs about 210hp to the wheels, but tuned has reached over 300 hp/300 tq at 7/8psi

i was seriously thinking about this when it came out a couple years ago. but it pretty much would have to be mounted on the front valve cover where KB suggests, and it sticks up about 4". not gonna happen. :(

Not without some kinda weird bump on the front of your hood.
