its nto really clear coating i dont think.
its a gel coat. and i think its more expensive to gel coat it then clear coat it.

Kaminari fiberglass hoods come with gelcoating. He said he's getting a Carbon fiber hood, which should be clear coated for protection. (gel coating would defeat the purpose of getting CF).

no paint shop should have a problem clear coating the hood. They're in the business to make money right?
Anyways I'm not from the Dallas area so I can't really help you find one...just wanted to help clarify things.

here is a cheap way out. go to maaco. seriously. they can't screw up a clear coat. in fact they helped me blend my paint in with the rest of the car. the clear on my car now has a little metal flake in it. brightens it a little. they'll put it on. just don't be a jackass, and respect the guys. they may do cheap work on some cars, but if you act like you know what you are talking about they can cut you a deal and give you some respect. other than that, any dealership or paint shop should do it. go to them and show them what you are talking about and they can do it.
