3l Cougar ATX

Ok i spent 2 hours trying find the guys name that did it and have few questions for him.

i believe drives yellow one not sure.

can anyone give me his name?

i'm trying to figure out when all said and done if the car throught engine codes. which i do imagine it does.....

what he did for tuning and some small crap


ohio kills echeck at end fo the year. and i have to have mine done at end this month... and having tons trouble getting all codes go away so i figure i'll buy 200 dollar beater do 3l swap this fall and new years day i'll have a 3l atx.

i'm tired of throwing money at it to get it echeckable......

EGR VALVE
EGR SOLENOID
DPFS sensor
NEW MIRC
NEW FLEX PIPE

TOTAL 450 in parts

still throwing codes. if i get another EGR code i'm going to explode..............

What are the codes? There's no problem with running a 3L ATX so long as you're cooling the transaxle "like a mofo" to prevent complete grenading of the thing under the 3L's power, and you have an ADC chip to let the stock ECU take advantage of the extra displacement while still keeping the code necessary to run the ATX.

The DPFE codes (EGR flow excessive/insufficient) can be caused if the silicone hoses are reversed. If you've replaced the DPFE sensor and the EGR valve and solenoid, there should be no reason you're throwing CELs unless something's not hooked up right or you have a bum/misconnected vacuum line.

yeah me and buddy going check vacuum lines again after we run the codes... if an egr one comes up again if not my cat and my o2 sensor in bank 2 are what its running now...........

What he said....I am doing this project and hopefully will have a new upgraded tranny and the 3L to drop in next spring/summer.

If you've been throwing an EGR code for a while now before you replaced the parts, you may want to inspect your rear precat. 9 times out of 10 I've seen them go bad a few thousand miles after throwing EGR codes, and become progressively worse.
