View Full Version : Saturday, April 3rd... Third of 3 Engine Pulls & CEG Meet
As the title says- This weekend is the final of my 3-week marathon of pulling and replacing motors for CEG. The first was a knocking SVT engine, the second was a seized 2.5L non-SVT, and the third and final is this weekend- A clutch and flywheel replacement on another SVT. CEG is planning to make a meet of it, so I'll extend out to my brothers and sisters in NECO as well... 8am start, we'll fire up the grill maybe... Should be fun, considering that Leah will be making treats for us...
*EDIT*: Link (http://www.contour.org/ubbthreads/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=capitol&Number=573965&page=0&view=collapsed&sb=5&o=&fpart=1) to directions and such on CEG.

Sorry I won't be able to attend, I'll be busy concreting the driveway.
Have fun though and have someone take pics.

Wow! Two meets in one day? Incredible.
This is probably a dumb question, but what is CEG?

A carpool to a car club meet? That just sounds wrong for some reason... :)
(I won't be able to make it. Attending a wedding.)

I'll probably head out around 12.
Gary- Urbn has my original Cougar's exhaust manifolds that he gutted. He wants to install them, I'm sure, but since I'm on Pete's dime for the majority of the meet, I will not be able to help. HOWEVER- If you want to get some good experience, I can guide you through the removal and installation of the manifolds. I have an extra set of jackstands you can use for the job. Figure about 5-6 hours if you've never done a set before.

Dan, Just to clarify, I wasn't seeking your assistance on anything, although it's always welcome. :)
I'd be willing to help the Urb, but I don't want to be solely responsible for his install: I'm easily frustrated. :D
Of course, with all the testosterone at the meet, there should be plenty of guys willing to wrench on the mannies.
Looks like I will be doing more maintenance the following Saturday as well, since I have two torn ball joints.
