Hey Stacy, keep an eye out for either a yellow Saturn or black/orange bagged longbed Chevy. I know Brad is heading down that way tonight. Tell him his Saturn/pickup rocks, even if it doesn't. He needs the ego boost. ;)

hmm. all i know is that i lost domestic street. flat out lost to girls. this guy is hella pissed: at judges for not judging until 6 at night, to dumasses who scratched my car, to ALL pontiac cars with vinyl and systems bought from walmart. lets just say the highlight of my trip there was meeting Zum, Rylee and the mustangguy (can't remember your name at the time). oh well. hopefully this coming weekend will be better. I am doing some more mods to my car to make it more "judge" appealing. and lets just say that to piss off all those who love chrome i am painting all of my chrome black. I don't feel that chrome makes a car "better". i think its originality and craftsmanship. ok i'll get off my soap box now. i am going to tell more about the show later. Ryan got screwed, and took 3rd in his class behind a white bagged cougar. everyone and their dog thought Ryan should have won over him. and i think my setup is better than the white won. ha. ok bye
a white bagged cougar? was it geralds? or is he not the only white bagged coug in the states now

Nope, this is a newb. He had kentucky plates and is stationed out at fort sill. I know ryan and I both have pics of it, cause I about [censored] my pants when i saw it. We told the guy about this place, whether he comes here is a different story.
Adam- I may have been wrong, but that was the same class that Gail was in and I thought that he got beat by a bunch of chicks.
aha, dont we all get beat by chicks.........
I ended up getting totally [censored] faced out at the titty bar...thankfully there are no pics of that to prove. Wish the rest of you [censored]in haters could have came with me.
Hopefully we didnt scare gail too much ;)

when you say 1st in domestic street class do you mean you took 1st of all the street domestic cars? cuz if so, and dont take offense to that, got a trophy that says this cuz there are MANY that i think should have beat you in that category unless i just cant see everything on your saturn
here are some inlined pics for the lazy asses

Yeah I got 1st in the class, there were 5 that I saw total, so I wouldn't say that's "MANY" but either way I didn't expect to win either...it is just a trophy all the cars are badass regardless.
here are more pics and info on my car for those interested. Right now I have a carbon fiber hood and ceramic coated header on the way...this is really just my daily beater

I made it home! It's about damn time! It was great getting to meet Gail and his posse :) , They were great group of people... I met alot of cool people at this car-show. I bet if I would have laid down $2500 for bags instead of the engine, then i'd have placed first  ... Don't get me started on the white Cougar nor the Lime Green Focus that beat me... I attached pictures, so you can judge for yourself...

Man, whats the deal lately? Ryan, u shouldve just walked in there holding youre ankles cuz u have, for some reason, been gettin screwed alot lately, it seems like. ill admit the white coug Looks good; shaved, nice trunk setup, but it aint a part of the Special Vehicles Team (Props to Ry) and as for the Focus: Granny Smith called, she wants her apples back

Mexico wants her back too.
heh, if ya wanna win shows ya gotta build the show aspect of your car first and then the go later, cuz as you can see, performance mods dont net you great points with judges at most car shows

i've had a lot of time to think about why we lost, or rather i lost and ryan got screwed at this meet. we obviously need to stop spending money on actual custom items, and go down to the local pep boys or Autozone and spend about 500 bucks and buy a whole bunch of crap, put it on our cars, slap some vinyl on the side then once we are done with our morning coffee attach the folgers can to the muffler and call it a custom car. oh well. i was the lowest cougar there. the white one had a crazy lame air ride setup and was slow as crap. goo, he got screwed on that deal. we spent the same amount of money on our setups and mine is faster, cleaner, doesn't rub, is unique, and well, is not lame. ha. oh well. i'm making a plexi glass insert so all you can see the hugeness of my valves. it will be done tonight...maybe. goo i type a lot.

I do agree that a lot of the cars there were ghettoed out..on another note, what size valves do you have? Got any pics of your install?
I dont think he was talking about your car in his long rant...

NICE! I have 8 1/2" SMCs on my truck and it's pretty dang quick, i bet your car can move...how much psi are you running?
megail
04-06-2004, 01:14 AM
i'd love to tell you the psi. but its a secret.
not really. i just don't have the gauges in yet. waiting on a gauge pod for the last month from a memeber on here. had some shipping mishaps and it isn't here yet. if i increase it a little more, it'll hop off the ground. but thats bad with a fiberglass frontend. those 8 3/4" valves i have are fast as crap, and work great. as long as they stay dry. sucked that one time water got in there. woo let me tell ya, wouldn't hold air for mor than 20 seconds. oh well its cool i like it.
by the way. i'm not hating on your saturn. its pretty cool. i like the color and what you've done to it.

what size line are you using? and what compressors... and what kind of valves are those you have? they look similar to SMC with a different solenoid...maybe GC? The moisture thing is a problem with a lot of valves, my SMCs handle oil and water from my engine driven and haven't ever stuck even in the snow
just getting curious because the saturn may be on air eventually

I expected more of a comeback than that, [censored], this is neco....play hard.

ok saturn guy.
1/2" lines
2 VIAIR 450 compressors
2 5 gallon tanks
8 3/4" GC Valves
1 10switch spiderman lunch box
1 switch happy driver
there, that should help to bag any car except a saturn. to bag a saturn all you need to do is find your nearest wall and run into it setting off the air bag. and poof... your saturn is bagged. ha
but anyways. i think that setup would make the saturn hop like a cracked out frog. those lines and valve combination make for a fast setup. and thankfully the cougar is a fatass otherwise i'd be bouncing off the ground like a kangaroo on speed. oh and i'm running at 170 psi if you wanted to know.

Are you running strut bags or cylinders? Do the 3/4" valves really help that much with only 1/2" lines? I have 1/2" on my truck and the lines are nothing more than a restriction since their ID is only 3/8". I can hop the truck quite a bit when I feel like it but I don't want to tear [censored] up. But anyway due to the suspension setup on my car not liking air cylinders, and strut bags not giving the drop I prefer, I am now looking at a good hydro setup:crazy: :hitit:
megail
04-07-2004, 08:15 PM
goo. a hydro setup. goo. thats gonna cost you.
the 3/4" valves really do help.. A LOT. cylinders suck all around, and i like my bag struts. they work great for me for now. i want to lay body sometime soon. that'll require a lot of cutting and smashing with a hammer.
goo. hydros. goo
ib2loud
04-08-2004, 04:15 AM
laying body with strut bags may take a lot of fabrication, but the ride quality will be well worth it. I found a hydro kit specially made for my car i'm looking at if they girl gets back to me. if not then the 2.5" drop is how it stays
