I recently purchased a 99 Mercury Cougar v-6 Manual 5 speed w/ anti loc brakes. They installed 4 new tires before I purchased it. when I drove away I noticed a hard pull to the left when I applied the brakes. I had new rotors and pads and lines installed and it still pulls to the left dangerously. Also when I apply the brakes the steering wheel seems to veer to the right??? The mechanics are stumped as to what it could be? Any suggestions? Please help!!!

You could have air in one of your brake lines, causing there to be more pressure on one side. Bleed your brake lines and see if that helps.

Update to anyone who is monitoring this problem. I went to a Lincoln dealership today and let them drive it. he strongly suggests that its in the rear brakes. Either a caliper problem or something of the sort. I will let you guys know what we find out.
