well may not begin this week cuz the jack for the g0d d4mn engine hoist i bought doesn't work... and god knows how long itll take the company to get me a new one..

well may not begin this week cuz the jack for the g0d d4mn engine hoist i bought doesn't work... and god knows how long itll take the company to get me a new one..
Jack is not important.
1) Prep 3.0L block.
2) do the 900 things needed to pull the 2.5L from ur car.
3) start assembling 3.0L.
Thats many hours of stuff needed to do before a cherry picker is needed ;)

i am having 2nd thoughts about not using the 3l heads considering demonsvt's amazing 13.9... ah well, whats done is done
perhaps i will still be able to spank cougarboi :) perhaps not....
i will be able to spank matt in his cougar and his DAM AMERICAN BUILT IMPORT

I cannot wait till my moment comes. I don't have the money for a 3.0l now, or probably sometime soon, but I have an untapped resource. My dad.
He's a firefighter and occasionally they will get junked cars that they practice the Jaws of Life on. Most of the time they're Fords so I have him on lookout for a 3.0l Duratec :)

im assembling my 3L turbo over the course of a year, with the full turbo'd drivetrain swap to take place about the start of next summer. Its taking a year because of my bills and stuff. I want to build the motor for boost, not swap in a 3L and then add the turbo kit. i will be adding as much of the streetflight kit i can to the motor while its out of the car, then put it in, and finish the turbo install.
over the next year i will be acquiring an extra tranny to put my new flywheel, clutch, and LSD in. I will also be getting forged 8.5:1 pistons, forged rods, and bearings for the block, P&P my 3L heads, and saving $$$ for the turbo kit. Ill be rebuilding the motor from the ground up with pretty much new everything. im also going to get a die grinder and do the port matching of the oval port 3L head to my SVT intake manifold this summer.
so to answer your question.............no. :)
i might have to skip fest this year, cuz of my hefty mastercard bill, due to buying engine stuff, but i still might be coming with my highly modified 2.5L:biggrin:
