Other common problems

I read the stickie at the top of this board, but it seems like people talk about more common problems then are listed. I was planning on selling my coug this spring but it just broke down so if i have to do major repairs then i will have to keep it, so i want to do all of the fixes i can to prevent future.

i seem to remember a lot of posts about water pumps?
atx transmission?
other stuff?

fuel pump, sunroof, brakes, water pump, power windows, cv joints, wheel bearings, on this car, basically anything mechanical.

oh I almost forgot my passenger door fell off once...seriously..the plastic piece that holds the bolt on the top hinge popped off and the door slid right off the hinge.

hey i have a 1999 cougar and the fog lights wont turn on , if u go to turn the knob then pull out it is like stuck or something and wont pull out. if any one have any information email me xtremeviper02@aol.com thanx

I had that problem with the foglights, i fixed it for about 3 months by disassembling the dash on that side, it's the small piece of dash, then undid the wires, saw that there was a nice piece of plastic melted and blocking a connection, a small knife and 5 min later my foglights worked, until they went out again.......i attempted to fix it again but couldn't do it again...????
EDIT: 99 COUGARS BLOW, at least mine did, and every other one i have come in close contact to. They break quicker than a glass jar in my pappy's shootin field<-Sorry, just had to toss that in...:crazy:
