Yes it will work ... why wouldn't it ... it works in the Escape 3.0L with the same transmission ;)

Hey now...

No using common sense to figure things out. That's just not fair and all...

Well, that's what I did when I decided to buy a 3.0L block, SVT Ported Heads and a used CD4E. I sure hope it's possible

Seriously though, It will work. Russell 3L at CEG was the first to my knowledge. I have all the parts for the swap, minus some engine rebuilding parts like gaskets and revised goodies like oil pan and FEAD cover. I plan on rebuilding my ATX soon and when that is done, I will rebuild the engine. Hopefully sometime before this winter, I will have the engine/transmission done.

i have a 3L SVT Hybrid in my contour

its mated to a CD4E from a 2001 cougar. i had a shiftkit and sonnax valves installed in the tranny, and a high stall torque convertor

to my knowledge im the 2nd to do a 3L with an atx

if theres any questions you got, feel free to pm me

I'm really intrested in doin this! So basically all I have to do is buy a engine that was mated to a atx 3.0L in a Escape?

what kind of gains are achieved through the atx 3L block swap? does anyone have dino results, or HP increase since adding the 3L to their atx? im considering doing this myself, but im just not sure if it will be worth the time/ $$$.

i dont ahve any dyno results yet

i am also running stock single exhaust as i cant afford my true duals yet

i will tell you this much

going from a near stock 2.5 atx (chip and intake) to my 3L, its a whole new beast of a car
