My brake pads SUCK according to the guy that I let drive my car. He recommended Hawk HB+ pads with stock rotors, but I don't know if they make them for our cars. Anyone know?

I've used Mintex A/F pads, exclusively for some time now.
I may experiment, just for kicks with something else..but who knows
I don't think they dust much, and they perform well.

Most street/perfomance pads will perform better than "race" pads
only because race pads don't work until they are up to temp,
and by the time they are up to temp, you are finished with your run.

PS are you sure your collecting cones because of fade? ;) j/k

Well I got all antsy and got some green stuff pads from TireRack. I was told they suck at the Solo II class I went to. I figure anything is better than my Bosch pads.

I did a full 200 degree spinout on the slalom when I tapped the brakes. My instructor said "That was cool, we almost died" since we ended up about an inch from the parking lot curb. Best of all, we did a total of 9 runs. Now I'll feel cheated at the rest of the years events, except Cougarfest of course :)

I'll give the green stuff a try, assuming nobody else has yet.

I've used KVR pads and Mintex AF. I was diappointed in the KVRs and switched to Mintex which I have been pretty happy with.

The only thing I don't like about my brakes is that I can't lock them up under about 15 mph (no ABS). At higher speeds it's like a boat anchor was tossed out of my hatch, but at low speeds they just aren't grabbing well (I'm not sure what is causing this though).

the green stuff pads have been fantastic for me I noticed an imediate differnce not just in inital stoping power but in total stoping distance and resistance to break fade (and the less break dust was an added benefit) I got the KVR cross drilled rotors....and I would DEFINATLY advise you to stay away from those. I might try out sloted but other wise I am just going back to a plain disk
