Hi all,
Sorry I appeared to be among the missing for a few weeks...did anyone miss me? LOL
Things have been more hectic than normal at work lately, and still having major computer/online issues.
Reading through the last few weeks posts, I see there are some new members on here, welcome aboard!
Sassy - I do still have the video of the drag Cougar from FF weekend (somewhere). I can copy it to VHS for you if you'd like.
In other news, my kitty got crunched yesterday....was driving along, traffic came to a stop - the Ranger in front of me stopped, I stopped....the 19yr old in a Tempo behind me screeched to a stop....after hitting me & pushing me under the Ranger. I actually was amazed at how little damage their was - minor damage to frt/rear bumpers, dent in the front of the hood & some major scrapes on the pass headlight. Atleast hood still opens/closes & everthing works so I can still drive it. I need to take it to get an appraisal done Monday morning & see what it's going to add up to.
See ya!
Chuck

You are right Chuck, long time no hear! Sorry to hear about your Cougar. Maybe you can get your scratches fixed in the process! Keep us up to date on autocrossing. The season is coming up! With all the new mods done to my car I will not be out there but you will once again have a cheerleader and photographer in me!
Hello to the rest of the Mass/Conn crew as well. Look forward to seeing you all again this summer!

Another sign the world is coming to an end...
Jay quoting the Fast and the Furious!
Anyways, a Cougar with an ATX will never be to where I want it performance wise unless I can get ahold of a supercharger installed for $800! My new quest is a little show and go for this summer. I'll have a nice combo of looks and power to show off. I want to go to some small car shows this summer and see how I will do. (I just have to get rid of all my scratches and dings...) Lemme know if you guys know of any decent small shows going on this summer! Thanks...

I think an ATX would do just fine in an autoX. its not about top speed, its about handling and driver skill (not to mention its a WHOLE lot of fun !!)
and dont knock F&F that movie was SO well written :cover:

yeah I'm gonna try my hand at autox this summer with my ATX and I have no intentions of winning or anything. Just want to do it for the fun of it.

Hey, depending on which club is sponsoring the event, there IS handicapping. thanks to that handicap, I was 1 second away from a vette's time once...

Waiting to get an estimate for the repairs.....one thing I hadn't noticed damaged until washing the car before taking it to get looked at...she hit the right side of my dual exhaust & pushed that forward...I can see the bracket at the back is bent, but not sure if there's any other damage past that :(
As for the autocrosses, I'm sure the automatics will do fine -- and it's all about the fun anyway!!
JAY - Since the BMW club ISN;T going to be running any of the autocrosses, it looks like no handicapping. It looks like SCCNH is going to be doing 5 of them, but haven't gotten any official dates or details yet.
