Hi all,

Bought my 2.0 Cougar last year, this is a cool site. Does anyone know how to test if the standard alarm is working. I used to have a Mondeo & you could do a sequence with the key in the door lock to test it. I thought it might work as most of the parts are shared with the Mondeo, but no joy. Any ideas?

Hey, welcome to the boards. All you have to do is roll down the windows, set the alarm then reachin and open the door from the inside!

My alarm goes off when i lock the door with the keyless, then open the trunk with the keyless. Takes a few secs, then it starts honking its horn off.
