How hard is it to install the updated DMD and baffled oil pan? I've been thinking about getting these items for a long time now but never did cause i have no idea if it's difficult or not. The way the Chiltons describes for the DMD seems easy, but i want to know from people tha't actually done it. But the oil pan seems to be really involved. Especially cause i don't have an engine support bracket.

I did my underdrive pulley like three times.
(long story) the Crank pulley isn't to hard to do if you have an
air impact. But if you don't (and I don't car what anyone says)
it's impossible.

Basically remove tire>remove plastic wheel well>remove serp. belt>Remove crank pulley bolt
>use wheel puller to remove pulley> install new one>crank to 90ftlbs>loosen .25 turn
>tighten to like 89ftlbs of torque. Use gasket sealant where crank shaft end meets with pulley

Oil pan shouldn't be bad. just messy like usual.
I wouldn't replace the oil pan unless you really like the turns or you Auto X
but that's just me.
And yes doing the DMD is a good idea.

Thanks mike. I dont think i'm going to worry about the oil pan then. Besides, i'm not really into large curves. But i think i'll pick up the DMD here sooner or later. Depends on whether or not i want to do it while it's so damn cold out.

Let me know when, we'll do mine and yours at the same time if you want.
I'll be installing mine after winter.
