So far nothing that I'd call "major" down in Silver Spring. about 2 inches of slushy crap all over everything. There's conflicting/confused reports of a "significant" snowfall between evening today and sometime Saturday. Of course, that means anything between 4-46".

Really? I've always been pretty happy with my Cougar's performance in the snow... And I have a lot of experience driving in snow in several different cars, including one or two that truly suck (such as the Ford LTD, which was built on the Mustang platform--no weight, lots of power) in the snow.

it figures....since i've graduated high school we've had snow and lots of it... this sucks.. oh well. My car has not moved from its spot... I'll prolly start it up tomorrow and brush off the snow around it and on it. Its color scheme is white and purple at the moment. Funny thing is, my side windows never got touched. So you can still see every little drip.

My car did okay in the snow too... The only issue I had was because of my Kuhmo's, they're not exactly "snow tires". :( It did fine today going to and from work though.
I think I may be a passenger for going to the wedding now... My boss has 4 wheel drive ;) and volunteered to drive us all there.

What kind of tires do you have? Mine came with BF Goodrich Comp T/A VR4s. I've noticed that many 'local' Cougars seemed to have Firestone tires on them (I bought my Cougar in Pennsylvania)--perhaps the Firestones or whatever you have now just aren't very good in the snow.
I have experience with the Comp T/As and Radial T/As in several cars, and I love them. If I'd had a choice when I bought the car, Comp T/As were exactly what I would've picked, because they do work very well in snow and rain. Not bad in dry weather, either. (When it came time to replace my tires, I went without a car for several days while the dealer got the Comp T/As in stock instead of picking a different tire. That's how much I like them.)
Besides...how do you 'spin out' a front wheel drive car? RWD I can understand, it's relatively easy. You're doing something to negate one of the primary advantages of FWD.

RJ how do you spin a FWD car? Pull the E brake of course... :)
But my astro is much more fun in the snow... :)

 No no, the shoulder injury is from when Jason forgot that he can't play hockey... He and my friend Tim were playing and he got thrown into a wall. :cover: Then he decided to wreck a motorcycle and hurt it again. He's a bit accident prone. ;)
The last time we fought, I didn't do ANY permanent damage...

Nicky the whole shoulder thing with Tim was my right shoulder. The Motorcycle accident was the left shoulder. Speaking of which the doc tried to get me an appointment on Jan. 14 and I told him," Im going Home!!" So now I have to go to Balboa in San Diego the see if I NEED surgery or not :ugh: before I go on leave.
Magoo- She tried to through me down the stairs when I was home on leave one time, I think she even tried to hit me with a car. I also think her and my sister were plotting something along those lines so I couldn't leave again.
