Activity idea!

A geeky, but 'could-be-fun' idea popped into my head a few minutes ago (yeah! it does happen from time to time :) )

anyway... are there any Drive-In movie lots around the Indy area??

i'm thinking that it would be pretty badass if all the cougars just 'took over' a drive-in theater and we all watched a movie, partied, and had the sound coming through our car stereos and all that good stuff - somethign to get us out of the parking lot for a few hours (for those who want to 'do something') :)

While everybody is free to do what they want to at night, the way i envision everything going is this: Thursday afternoon to night everybody will be arriving and meeting/greeting. Friday night i plan on an activity that most people will either be taking part in or watching, and no it's not iWF night that night. ;) Saturday seems open at the moment, but that could change and you may have a hard time motivating a large group of people to commit 2 hours for something like that, especially with the impending long drive for most members on Sunday morning.

That coupled with the fact that when i just went and checked didn't show any drive-ins in that area makes me say "nay" at this time. Nobody's captive, but we'll probably have enough activities planned anyway.

ya, just a thought :)

i find with things like that, i wouldn't normally do that on my own or with 1 or 2 others. Only if a large number of people were up for it, would I concider it.

definitely though, if you can think of one or two activities, that would be awesome. I like just hanging out in the parking lots talking to people and stuff, but it would be nice to get out and 'go somewhere / do something' as a group around town WITH the cars... and have it ORGANIZED. heh! none of this crazy caravan stuff where only 1 person knows where they are going, and we all have to do like 90mph to keep from getting separated.
i know in Indy, a bunch of us went downtown, but then we ended up parking all of our cars in a garage, then walked 3 blocks to a mall for food and arcade games :ugh:


anyway! yes, its very early to be thinking of specifics, but if you are ever thinking of smaller activities and if people would be interested - you now know that at least I am! :)

actually there is a drive-in directly across the road from IRP, which is about 5-10 minutes from HCKC's hotel last year...if that helps.

Well... there you go, for those of you that would rather go see a movie instead of whatever is already penned in for Friday or whatever may be planned for Saturday, go ahead, there's a drive-in.

I don't believe that with all the planning that's going on that you can actually think of a drive-in movie. Hopefully there will be enough planned where that'll be the last thing on your mind.
