Here's the deal...got the serpentine belt replaced about a week ago...

Since then, it has thrown the "Cam Shaft Position Sensor" code.

the batt light has been flashing, the car jumps and bogs, lights dim..etc etc...

went back and got a new serp belt...the old one was too long...now...

it still does the jumpy ****...

is this caused by that cam positon sensor, or was this code caused by the loose belt?

HELP!!!!!

Was it acting up before you replaced the Serp belt? If not, then why did you change the serpentine belt?

yes, it was doing the jumping around beforehand, and the battery light flashed...etc etc...

cracked to all hell...

friday i'm replacing the other cam position sensor on bank one...should be fun, as well as the fuel filter...if not...i'll take the fuel pump off that SVT motor and use that....$100 for a new walbro tho...might go with that one....

Take the pump from the SVT... if your fuel systems match up, just clean it really well... I personally didn't like the Walboro pump, so I went back with a Ford pump...

then, back to my original problem of the Cam Position Sensor code....

it has thrown 3 times now....

would a loose belt on the other side of the cam cause this code to go?

the cams are chain driven, so no, a loose belt cant cause that... try replacing the sensor(s) then see what it does...
