Well the C-clamp on my Y pipe just isn't enough, I'm now thinking of doing this Rear Stock Muffler Removal (http://www.fastcougar.com/forums/messageview.cfm?catid=10&threadid=82318) but not sure yet. Any idea how loud it will be, I don't wanna piss off my mom to much (she's pretty anal)...too bad I didn't read this post till today. Also will this effect emmissions at all......any insight is greatly appreciated

I dont think this will effect your emmisions since all the engine exhaust gases pass through 3 catalytic converters before that part. The converters do all the emisions cleaning so that part of the exhust is simply there to quiet it down.

I dont think it will be too loud at all actually, since you will still have you 2" stock piping there, is there a muffler directly after your main cat? I dont remeber since I have Borla's for 3 years :) .

Try it out and if its really bad you can always put your stock resonator back on oreven get some new pipes hehe ;)

yeah- gutted pre's and one remaining main cat...I say do it! Might sound really cool...and if it doesnt then just get a borla or something.

One ghetto Fab Exhaust on it's way.....probably friday b/c the mom goes out of town the entire weekend, so if it's way to loud I can find a way to break it to her, or make it quieter ;)

he he he he, it's friday, and feelin good from the complete suspension upgrade I did last night (not my car :banghead: ) , I decide to cut some exhaust off. After all, what's easier chopping a pipe or springs, strut bars, and struts......well my hand is damn sore from sawing, but it sounds kinda decent, gonna shoot for a sound clip tomorrow when I get it totally done. :biggrin:

well, after a day of driving around, I decided it sounds like a truck with no muffler. So I put it back on, I didnt weld it yet....just used another clamp. The clamp isnt air tight so, it leaves a little bit of the truck soundingness to it....I think I might leave it like that, till I get a real exhaust :biggrin:
