yes i got bored half way through this after noon so to do something drastic i did the ole pre cat gutting. lets say im glad today was nice and i had alot of patience.. what sucks is that i started at like 230 maybe later, and i took my sweet ass time to do this.,. i kinda almost just finished . i have to take the car to school in the morning to weld up the whole i put in the cat to gut it cuz the jb weld i was trying to use just isnt cutting it. then while gutting the cats , i took alot os flak in the eyes even with safety glass and a mask on .. i swear it wasnt funny. i just finally got the piece out of my eye .. no to mention somehow a bolt stripped and one bolt sized up on me .. so now i have to go buy a new stud and bolt . but luckly i get a discount at a local parts store near my school .. but with the 2 small exhaust leaks i can tell my exhaust is gonna sound pretty nice .. it might start to sound like a semi quiet GT . which would be bad ass .. but ill know for sure tomorrow . during school .. but so far so good . y pipes are easy though @!!!!! i think headers might not be too bad!!

We totally stripped one of my bolts doing the pre-cat gut. I swear that must just come with the territory. I haven't heard of one person having an easy time removing those bolts.

JB Weld is and has been keeping my oil pan sealed after I used a truck jack and didn't notice one of the pegs on the jack resting on the oil pan (very large jack). Soon after I hear a *pop* and the sound of fluid draining...look underneath and oil was pouring out.

Using some acidic cleaner to really get the pan clean we just patched it up & let it sit for about 24hrs. It's been holding for well over 1,000 miles.

well after some mig welding , a air hammer and a new bolt , my car basically sounds the same but it does have a slight more hps from what i can tell . im not sure if its worth it to people who dont have acess to a welder . the car sounds a little deeper and once the secondaries open up the car has a nice surge of power. i just have to fix the bucking . a BIG BTW . i found out that my fuel pump is not the problem.. i did a on road diagnostic doing different types of driving styles. and my fuel pressure stayed above the recommended spec set forth by ford . my teacher seems to think that it could be caused by the ignition or the spark .. so thats another direction i might try .. im doing more reseach .. im starting to think that a chip might solve the timing/spark problem

I hope so cause mine is awful. When I take off with running room and tach up all 5 gears, when I drop into fifth it just bogs for like 3-4 seconds. It does it occasionally on the highway if I let off and get back on the gas, it will bog down for a couple seconds

yeah tony im working on the solution , hopefully i can find out what the deal is. if its just plugs and wires that would be straight too . although a walpro is only 85 bucks and a few hours of work . heheheh changing plugs and wires on the coug sucks cuz if i remember correctly you have to pull the uim to change everything .. if i go this route i might just get a accel coil pack to help the performance all the more. i saw one for the v6 somewhere out there .. ill just have to search around .. hey maybe a msd ingnition booster . hehehheheheh hps are always good!!!

no, you dont need to pull the UIM. I did mine with the UIM on, you WILL ,however, need a universal (swivel in laymens terms) on the socket for the plugs.

same **** with me, kinda. if I get on it, sometimes itll just not do anything for a second or two... and when accelerating sometimes the power will dip once or twice per gear.

I have fresh plugs to install... 40,000 miles a good time?
