Yesterday I managed to do some "work" on my cat. I removed the COUGAR and V6 letters from the boot (no need for fishing wire, string or anything else - I just pulled them off with my fingers), and I removed and smoked my 3rd brake light. Now all I need is some higher wattage bulbs to shine through. Anyone know if you can get these from Halfords or any other car place?

Cheers

Just clean it up with meths.

Be careful when increasing the wattage of the your bulb, after all, you don't want your wires to heat up.

AUTOGLYM Degreaser (comes in an aerosol) is fantastic stuff. Not only does it degrease, but it makes cleaning your wheels sooooooooo easy. Once you have used it once, you will never use wheels cleaners again!

The sticky gunk does take some rubbing. In all I prob spent 7 or 8 mins rubbing it all off. Just looks sooooooo much nicer. All i need to do is replace the FORD badge with a COUGAR head one and I will be done. Now if that doesn't confuse other naive road users, nothing will !

Instead of higher wattage bulbs, how about powerfull LEDS then???

i tinted my third light unless you actually want it to shine thru i would not bother i very much doubt you will ever get picked up for it and its very doubtful an mot tester will fail you on it:shrug:
if they do give you any hassle a cheapie from halfords on your rear shelf for the mot will satisfy them

I have LED Hyper Bright bulbs in my brake lights and they are wicked, i would reccommed them as they do not draw as much current as standard bulbs
