Was at the local strip last weekend. A friend of a friend just got a brand new Interga Type R or Type S, like I can remember what its called! HAHA! Anyways, 800kms on it, decided its time to race the car. First run, great launch, 1st gear to 2nd gear, no problem, 2nd gear to 3rd gear, was a bit of a problem. How he did it, I'm not sure, but he went from 2nd to 1st at about 8500rpm. KABOOM!! Not sure exactly what happened to the engine. But how could you go from 2nd to 1st at 8500? That would be a hell of a push to get that in gear!! RIP INTEGRA!

Intersting that he got a brand new Integra type R seeing the Integra was replaced by the RSX...
Someone please correct me if this isn't true in countries other than the US.

it was probably was a RSX type S. seems like thats kind of commen thing with them cause the gears are so close i saw something posted few months back about a guy doing a high speed run on the highway. the guy took it almost up to redline in 4th and meant to shift to 5th and shifted to 3rd instead...big mistake same thing happened as you mentioned

i did that in my friends probe GT once, ripped it through 1st, ripped it through 2nd then shifted back to first on accident. it was the first time id ever seen a tach maxxed out completely lol.

In the US the Integra was replaced by the RSX. But in Europe it is still known as a Honda Integra. Its basically the same thing as our cars being Ford in Europe and then putting Ford badges on your car like some people do.

yea I've seen some RSX's around here come from the factory with "INTEGRA" badges on them. And they're not off old integras, the font is the same as the "RSX" font.
