Poker Run

Some of you know I also belong to a motorcycle club which takes up a lot of my time, which is why I don't dedicate as much time here as I would like. Sometimes the Cougar spills over there, and this time the motorcycle spills over here. Our club, TriStateRiders.com, is hosting a Poker Run on Sept. 21st. All proceeds go to Pinnicale Health Hospice, which provides health care to lots of people in this area. Poker Runs are typically for motorcycles, but most of the guys.....and girls, are into hot rods, muscle cars, and anything shiny or fast. We thought it would be a good idea and cover new ground by inviting "Cages", what we call cars. For anyone who is not familiar with a Poker Run, you start at the registration point (Ephrata) by drawing a card from a large deck, and given directions to a second point. Motorcyclists are into roads, so you know the drive will be a good one. At the second point you draw the next card and directions to the next stop. And so on until the fifth stop, where your poker hand is totaled up. The three best hands gets prizes. There are also raffles and games were people make fools of themselves. Then there is the typical band and DJ. Tons of food (Pig Roast). And beverages (B**r). There will lots of bikes, cruisers, customs, and sport, (since we are a primarily a sportbike club), and lots of fun. If anyone has any questions I would be glad to answer them.
