I was at the races and pulled up at the light next to a focus hatch with a full body kit, big wing but not oversized, graphics, wheels and exhaust and intake from what i could hear. So were sitting next to each other at the light and i look over at him a few times and he never looks back so im not sure if he wants to race or not. Now im in my stock ATX but i figured ive still got a shot as long as hes not that modded. So the light turns green and he jumps out in front of me and then as were doing around 70-80 i start to catch him but got a little shady beings we already went through about 3 or 4 intersections and didnt see a cop yet so i figured i shouldnt press my luck beings they are everywhere at the races. As soon as i hit the brakes to back off the kid puts on his hazards like he got this big kill or something. So at this point im mad cause i am confident i can take him beings i didnt get a good start and i also slowed down. We end up catching the next light together, well he ended up jumping that light about 5 seconds too early so we didnt even race that time. We luck out and catch the next light together, we were actually doing about 15 hoping that the light would go red. Now its not just a straight race though, the road is straight for about 20-30 feet then there is a sharp left and it just goes straight after that. We were pretty even off the line and then in the turn i had the outside and took it a bit wider then i should have and he pulled on me a little, well once we hit the straight part it was all over for him. I ended up going by him fairly quick and made sure to put my hazards on after i passed, then after i got to around 110 he was back in the distance. I know its not a big kill or anything but when you cougar is stock and automatic youll take a win whenever you can get it, especially from a car with a couple mods.
