Raced an RXS type S

It had a complete body kit, rims, exhaust, and probably a few engine goodies. I saw him on the highway and pulled up next to him he started to slow a bit so I did and we both floored it. I beat him pretty badly I pulled ahead instantly and then kept pulling until I hit the brakes. He pulled up next to me and gave me the thumbs up. :) Thats the first thumbs up I've gotten, most honda/acura owners just fly by you and keep going. Made me feel good after going to get my alarm looked. Everyone at the shop was swarming around my friends Syclone. No way I'll ever beat that thing.

The cougar's have great highway speed..i bet yours is insane!

sorry to tell u but the rsx s is alot faster than the cougar especially on the highway, that guy must just not know how to drive.

umm dude the RSX-S puts out 200hp and like 142tq TO THE FLY WHEEL
Blackcoog put out almost that same number of HP TO THE WHEELS
I know the RSX-S has an outstanding tranny but I know it still has
drivetrain loss

Acura equips the engine with a more aggressive type of i-VTEC, a single-stage performance intake manifold and a modified exhaust system. These changes bring horsepower up to 200 (at 7,400 rpm) and torque to 142 lb-ft (at 6,000 rpm). Redline is 7,900 rpm. I got the same setup and I pulled on Ford Lightning which is way faster than RSX-S.

ur right sorry i didnt see the 3.0 engine swap good kill , as far as to what an rsx would dyno at mine with just an intake and exhaust dynoed at 187 hp so i would have thought it would be a closer race considering i have seen what a 3.0 engine can run in a contour.

Try a Mustang GT next if not already ;) you should be able to take on a 70 roll. I doubt it off the line though. They have too much TQ compared to what you're currently running.

You didn't pull on the Lightning off the line, did you? I am getting more hp to the wheels through the use of n2o than any NA 3L owner and I had a Lightning hand me my buttocks off the line. I would imagine from a 50mph kick, I would have stood a better chance.---- nevermind. I just read where you posted the situation about 5 threads down.

I have raced a 2001 Mustang GT from a stop and he got a good jump on me in the beginning, but after I got up past 50 I pulled past him. I would have done better if I feathered the clutch instead of dropping it. The car spun so bad the radio came out and fell on my shifter.

Damn Blackcoog, you beat a Mustang GT. That's friggin' cool. I knew the 3.0's where going to be pretty fast, but didn't expect it to beat a GT. I was expecting to keep up with an RSX-S. Now I need to get another job. Hopefully I can get the 3.0 sometime next year.

totally nice kill man! thats awesome. and as far as beating a GT are they heavier then us? also i'm tryin to beat a 98 GT. any advice. i have a trubendz exhaust with a dynomax and an SVT uim, and Tb also i have a kkm intake with polished aluminum intake tube. my pre cats are gutted and oh yeah 01 V6 MTX.

A 98 GT would be one of the slowest years.... but it's still a high 14-second car stock, so it would take some excellent driving on your part and some lousy driving on his part for it to be close.

As for beating a 2001... anything's possible, but with less 200FWHP, I would NOT get used to beating 99+ GT's ;)
