Hello, I've actually lived in the DC area about 4 years now, and I've had a Cougar all that time.

1999 Cougar, laser red, V6, 5 speed - all stock, except for:

1. The parts that have been replaced because they broke.
2. K&N Air Filter.

As much of a headache as the Cougar can be to maintain, it's so much fun to drive that I keep it. Plus I think the Cougars are one of the best-looking cars on the road, if not THE best. I bought a second car for daily-driver duties so as not to run the Cougar into the ground.

Fun Cougar story: I was on the beltway one day in my daily driver when a green Cougar driven by a pretty blonde girl passed me. After she passed me, I noticed the license plate: "IPURR4U". I was (a) in love, and (b) REALLY wishing I'd driven the Cougar that day. :)

...what part of the area are you in?

I live in Alexandria. I saw the car on the outer loop just before the Mixing Bowl. It was a strange day--traffic was still moving. It was a couple months ago, I'm thinking March or April, but I don't remember for certain.
