I'm looking for a mechanic to take care of my cougar, I would like to send it to a shop where they can look thru the powertrain meticulously and find out what else is wrong other than what i know. I know 1st gear on my transmission is gone, and i know i need to replace the main seal. other than that i dont know what else might be wrong since i havent had the time to check it, i've been pretty busy for the las few months and now im definitely not able to. I would like the car to be finished by the end of september so i can send it to the body shop and hopefully it will be all done and back on the road by mid november or so.
My question is: does anybody know a mechanic thats able to undertake this task? not only replace what i just listed but actually take the time to go thru and find out what else might be wrong, check for any electrical problems after the wreck and make sure the car is 100% functional. I know that would take time and thats why im thinking of a window of 2 months. the only thing i would like the mechanic to have is 1) good references 2) experience with the cougar 3) access to e-mail.
If anybody knows someone who is able to take this job please PM me as soon as conveniently possible, im trying to get it ready so that i can drive it upon my arrival. My BMW is going up for sale sometime soon, look for the posting any time soon :( . I have to sell it, thats my baby but being out here has destabilized my finances.
