Sony Audio Package

Hi all

Just thought I’d post this, I have my Sony car stereo, autochanger and remote control for sale. I paid just over £450 for the combination but I want £250 for the lot.

The following currently sell for:

Head unit: XR M500 £189.99
Autochanger: CDX-848X £189.99
Remote: RM-X114 £29.99


I have all the leads and cables that are required, I used to have it in my previous car but I don’t want to install it in my Cougar as I’m looking to buy the 6006e (Blackadders’ recommendation when I first joined the forum).

I don't know much about this sort of thing but wouldn't you be better off with Sony stuff in your Cougar?

With my old car (my trusty Cavalier) I didn’t mind adding changes to it but with my Cougar I want to keep it as simple as possible. It’s a really good stereo and it would go really well with my car but I just want to keep it simple. With the latest costs that I’ve incurred, the sooner I sell the package the better (sympathy cry)….

Why dont you use just the head unit as this is easy to install and sell the changer?
I had the 6006e unit that you mentioned which is good,and better than most ford units but it is not a patch on the sony.
I now have a cheap clarion head unit(£90 approx) and this is so much better than any ford unit!!

That's true, but it's money, I've just graduated and after buying the car and the expenses i cant afford to keep it. My cousin, he's got the 6006e in his Focus and he's giving it to me, so thats one less expense i have to worry about.......

The Sony head unit is cassette, i want CD, i have thought about putting the changer in but its 10 disc and my current stereo only has the option to use a 6CD changer.
