Whut up everyone?

So here’s my story. I order the Cougar Drift Kit couple of weeks back, and it finally came in. Since it needs to me shipped to a business address, I had em ship it to my sister’s work. When it arrived, my sis gave me a call to come and pick it up. Once I got there I couldn’t wait to open it up. First I pulled out the front bumper—a smile grew on my face. Second, I got the side skirts out. Next, I started to take out the rear bumper—but what’s this? It’s in 2 pieces. Oh yes, the rear bumper was split in half. You can imagine how pissed I got. Anyway, my sister took over. She filed a claim to the shipping company; they came yesterday to take pictures. I don’t know what’s going to happen next. I don’t if I’m going to get my money back or not, and how long this whole mess is going to take.

I was going to get all my **** done before Aug, 10th so I can enter the show, but it’s not going to happen now. Anyway, I’ll see u all there for the members that are coming, but I’m not entering. =[.

It could very well be repairable depending on how/where it was cracked in half. Unfortunatly this costs you more money when it comes time for fitment/paint work.

it may be repairable, but I wouldn't pay for that if it were me...I'd make the shipper/seller pay for it, depending on whose fault it was...

Yes Tad I ordered the parts through James, and he said that I have to deal with the shipping company on my own, that's why he pays insurance so he doesn't have to. ummmm, I don’t think it's repairable. It was cracked right smack in the middle where the license plate goes. The crack ran from tom to bottom. I just hope I'm going to get some money back for it, so I won’t lose on it.

Wait...he pays for insurance so he doesn't have to deal with shipping companies? Or pays for insurance so he doesn't have to deal with replacements? I'm confused...I thought the idea behind paying for the insurance was so that if something gets lost or broken, they give you the amount it was insured for?? Am I missing something here? It sounds to me like insurance was taken out on the item, which you probably paid for when you paid S+H...so shouldn't you be refunded or sent a new part or something?? Otherwise, what's the point of having the insurance at all?

Exactly, I don’t know what’s the problem. My sis had to fill out a whole bunch of paper work, and a guy came down to take some pictures of the broken part. I don’t know why I have to wait up to a month in order to get refunded on the part.

Tad, it they are going to send me a new Drift Kit rear bumper then I will definitely sell u the broken one. If I get refunded on it though, I’m keeping it. I was thinking about ordering the Areogear X-tream rear and remodeling it using some pieces from the drift kit. Maybe cutting off the little wings that come out on the side of the drift rear bumper and attaching them to the Areogear rear.

you ll get your money...hopefully all of it. and they will not want the kit or pieces. order new part and repair old one and sell it or sell it for someone else to repair and use or sell. that type work isnt hard
