Hey, I was wondering if anyone knew what ford charged for a new Zetec engine short block? My engine is fine, but is gaining in miles, and I had some heavy upgrading in mind.

why don't you check car part.com (http://www.car-part.com)... just doing a 20 second scan i found a 2.0L with 9K miles for $750

Yeah, used engine's are better for building up cause the block has been naturally heat treated or something like that. Also cheaper.
