If anyone knows: What is it that lights them? I know theyre green because theyre painted in green plastic from behind... but is it small lightbulbs or a series of LED's that light them? If LED's, what size? if light bulbs, what series?
i know they're bulbs because i took mine apart. the bulbs are clear. green is in the plastic of the hvac. i have no clue on size.

Hmmm... I always wondered - if we changed the color of the bulb itself, maybe to a yellow/red... wouldn't we get a different color on the controls?

Exactly what I was thinking. The bulb would have to be some kind of purple color and bright enough to make the green color look blue. Thats why i was thinking LED's, cuz good ones have intense light.

Sorry guys, it's been tried many times. The green is so puky and dark that any coloring other than a clear white bulb simply blackens them out mostly. Trust me, it is under my skin big time as it's the only thing in my interior that I didn't change to blue.
