ok i have 3 12" jbl 300watt subs in seperate boxes my question is..
is it better to have one 1000watt amp running all three subs in series im not sure what the ohm loading would be on this or wether it would damage the amp
or do i use 3 seperate 350watt amps and have a left channel a right channel and a combined channel for the three subs?
or can i connect all three subs in parrallel on one 1000watt amp??

i think as long as the ohm levels in the 3 subs add up to equal or greater the amp ohms your ok to run the subs on that amp. but for the most power u'd want to use an amp for each sub.

it really depends on your amps and the subs. What Ohm load are the amps stable at? The subs have how many voice coils and how many Ohms for each? If you run them all in parallel on that one amp you may get more power.

Series: Rt = R1 + R2 + R3 +.....
Parallel: 1/Rt = 1/R1 + 1/R2 + 1/R3 +.... R = Resistance (Ohms)

If you already have all the amps you could just hook'em up and try it.

i dont have the amps yet i was just wondering if one way was better than the other on the amp it says that if i run them in series it will give me 3db extra on each sub in the line.....?

Just apply the formulas and find out which will work.
