Ok... so let's go camping!! I want to know what dates are best for everyone. I say let's do it in September in the middle of southern IL. I will research the campgrounds in that area and see what is best. I have the time at the moment (ah.. the life of a teacher) and REALLY want to see you guys again.
I have to be honest. THe only weekend good for me is the last weekend in September (26th - 28th). I have two weddings to attend to (one of them Reagan's), I move one weekend and the other I really want to do this 25 mile bike ride through Chicago (however, I will ditch it to see cougar buds).
Please tell me your opinions. If you like we can also do that first weekend in October, but after that the weather is going to get colder..... :(
LOVE YOU GUYS!!

Big BBQ/party at Dan Hamill's place in London, Ontario. I'm not sure if I'll be going to that yet.

So Hamelfest is the 13th now? I heard it was the 6th... either way I can't go :( 6th is my wedding, 13th I better damn well still be at a beach somewhere taking it easy.
The problem with a multistate meeting for camping is that most camp grounds ban a few of the things we kinda often require for our meets:
One: they usually limit campgrounds to two tents per site... so, unless we get several sites... but that might work too... line the cougars up on one site, and built the tents up on another, and the fire goes on the third.
Two: Most important though... camp grounds usually ban alcohol... and um... isn't that a requirement for our overnight meets? Also, they probably won't take too kindly to the loud debauchery that we are most likely to cause too late at night.
But if we do it, I'll go either way. The only other thing I can think of, is to find a inexpensive hotel somewhere down there, and rent a handful of rooms and make sure the hotel lines them up in a row (at least three rooms) and then we could party in the center room, and all crash in various places throughout the rest of the rooms.

hotel party meet, huh reagan?!!!! not too sure bout that one lol. some near close calls for the ones i've thrown...plus with minors drinking it def won't slide with the front desk unless he is cool... only maybe if we have it in the middle room and luckily with no one bellow us, it is possible:)
i say we still stick to camping...tho we must have booze, beer, barbecue, and babes :)
???have we decided on a place or time for this camping meet?

Yah.. i am working on this. Now after some discussion w/people, would you prefer to just get a hotel room, camp or get a cabin? UGH.. decisions .. decisions! :)

I should be able to make just about any weekend in Sep work. The cabin idea sounds good. It would be more comfortable than camping without the restrictions of a hotel.
