Hi guys, just talking to my friend down in brighton, she's just set up a business embroidering onto shirts (t-shirt/polo/sweat) and was thinking that once we've finalised a logo for the club, we could get some produced for meets, would the rest of you be interested, was thinking of possibly a logo on the breast and then a different one, possible the web address on one of the sleeves.
Let me know what you think and who may be interested. :thumbsdn:

:banghead: Here we go again, protracted correspondance and at the end of the day - no decision!!
I would like to buy T-shirt, window sticker, bonnet badge etc. but no decision is ever made. Why bother raising the subject??

Fair comment, some decisions should have been made long ago.
Believe it or not starting a Club from stratch with no money and little support is not easy.
I have only just began to realise what Damian has been through over the last year or so.
I wonder what will happen when a membership fee is introduced?

:flushed: I totally agree - as a Chair of a local charity (to deal with local car crime!) I know how difficult it is to get people to agree to anything. As I have stated in many threads I am more than willing to pay a subscription,.

If you want to get people to make a decision then it's easy...
What you do is set a deadline, give everyone a month (for example) to have a go at designing one - would have to e-mail all members so no-one misses out - and then when all entries are in, give everyeone a week to see what they like - then the deadline vote day / week. Then we have a winner and the people who dont like it will have to suffer - you can't please everyone.
Well, That's my thoughts...

only one of two things can happen not enough interest and the club will dissapear or lots/enough interest and we will hopefully continue to grow

Agreed..
After running various other events / clubs etc, you do learn that you cannot please everybody, all you can do is provide a method of
effective communication and choices, then it is up to the members to participate / respond within deadline dates.
Bring on the dates !!

Agreed, and hopefully UKCougar.com will survive and prosper....but if not then there is no reason why UK NECO should not continue as a point of contact....I guess it's something....

I fully agree, lets get some deadlines on the designs and lets get the club promoted with stickers/shirts etc.
I'm also willing to pay membership to what is a great club, let us know when and where to send the cheque.

Here's my view, if any one interested!
I coach and help to run a football club, with 12 teams from under 8's to under 16's, so i know exactly the problems you are having with setting up and continuing to run this site, it always comes down to a few to do the work for the many, fact of life!
I think we are mostly all agreed that a membership fee should be brought in to cover site cost and and runnings, but as to the stickers, t-shirts and other marketing and promotion ideas they will be costed to cover themselves, sounds like we have 2 people above that are willing to set the t-shirts, (which i think is a fantastic idea) But this brings us to the decision making again!
Come on guys! I for one am with you all the way and judging by majority of the posts i am reading you should have good web support, but the indissisions are not helping!
What were the results in the window sticker poll? that should then be the window sticker! as for the t-shirts shouldn't that be the same as the window sticker logo on the chest and then simple web address on the arm as cougaruk suggested?
Lets make them nice and corporate and simple, just my views hope they help...............Gav.

Decisions.
Membership. As soon as I can get the security issues resolved for the website this will be introduced.
Logo. I have said for some time that the design I favour is this one:
http://www.fastcougar.com/forums/attachments/Design%5F3%2Ejpg
Why? It is simple and to the point. It advertises the Club name and can be easily read from a distance.
Having T Shirts, window stickers, etc printed is an excellent idea. Just one drawback, who will pay?
Mike.

i think the first thing we need to do is get the membership fee up and running then hopefully given enough interest the club will continue and then we can discuss other things like t-shirts etc(which we could offer as a membership option additional to the standard fee??)
