So today I get a call as soon as I got up that John and Yoha (the focus from fest) are comming up to help put in a new alternator in Diane's car...It was news to me but thats cool. So I get the parts from her, buy some parts, and we get her car to my house. We then procede with a total PITA install. Special thanks to Tony (OSUStallion) for comming by after work with more tools and some experience. We all got filthy/ greasy/ etc. but then when we were half done Diane shows up with beer and a few minutes later the pizza arrives. Moments later I was calling off work  Alternator is in...they suck and are very difficult but we survived. Then...it just sorta turned into a lil party with lots of beer and pizza. Some video was shot but um...prolly wont make it onto the official cougarfest video due to some nakedness by a couple of members...no need to guess the one, but the other may be a bit more surprising :stupid:

And no, it was neither myself nor Diane so you do the math ;)

Sorry nobody was invited. I didnt know it was gonna become a whole event. Just for future reference; I will be charging $95 to install alternators for any of you who feel the need. They are not fun and no more are getting done for free. Time for more beer...later

Alright I need to say thanks to John: who loosened a couple bolts then proceeded to drink and eat pizza. Yoha: who was there too and drank and ate pizza. Tony: you're the greatest and totally saved me - and Slade for that matter - with all your special tools and skills. Slade: thanks for calling off work, banging your head at least 5 times on various items, and being such a sweetie :: I mean Badass. It's all good though. Our emergency alternator work turned into quite the little party. Anyone feel like a teapot?

To Slade, Tony, John, and Yoha

Thanks so so much!!

Hehe Yeah the alternator was not too bad I guess. We had enough people worken on it. It was like a city construction job, one guy doing work while 3 other people watched and drank beer hehe. BTW, slade you get that $6 I put in your key chain?

Thanks to Diane for the beer :) ..

SUPER TROOPERS IS BY FAR THE BEST MOVIE EVER OF ALL TIME!

The alternator can be a PITA.
I removed mine when I installed my headers.
It just made it easier to work in there.
Nice job guys.

Great. Yeah, thanks Kris. I am sooo gonna get hell for the Sweetie Crew now. Just to clarify, he's NOT a sweetie but a BADASS.

And yes, Super Troopers was one great movie. And I got to use "Oh **** I got you good f*cker" line last nite. But I can't remember why. My memory gets foggy around 3am, then getting up at 6:30am for work.

lol

I was laughing so hard i fell outta my chair. (for those of us who didnt understand what I wrote first [you knwo who you are ])

"Smells like sex in here."

All time greatest comeback from Super Troopers
Someone asks "how are you doing?"
Your reply (in a loud tone) "Good enough to f**k your mother!"
makes me laugh everytime. But I dunno I'm probably just an asshole

Dude that was so like a city job for real. I consider myself the HMFIC(Head Mother F*cker In Charge) as I loosened the first 4 bolts, yes you only need to do 3 but I wanted to be a badass and do 4, with my fingers. What can I say I m badass like that and good with my fingers. It was then bascially Tony who did everything and Slade helped. Yoha and I wanted to but hadnt done an Alt yet so ya know we were learning. Anyways, Yoha mightve lost his wallet now LOL hopefully at slades or his house somewhere, but either way, it all went well and I m glad its over.
I did manage to get kicked out of slades step-sisters bed since I convientlly found it to sleep in before she came back from a lil girls night out. O well I got the floor treatment, but I m over it. Maybe next time ;)!

Hope you guys took good notes because Becky's batt. light comes on at about 5000RPM now, so ours will be next I assume.:banghead:

Ever notice that it becomes "Becky's" car when there is a problem?;)

He he he, sounds like, um, "fun".

Next time you do this, say when Becky's car is next up, try not to make it an emergency, so those of us outside the area code get a chance to help too.

Good job guys-n-gal :)

Now that I know the angles I think I could do it in 2 hours. Get the alternator and lets do it. Just know that Jeff is exempt from any repair fees I will be charging. He and I have done much work to each others' cars and no way will he be getting charged. The rest of you...be prepared to pay up cuz this is a complete pain to do. Ya know Jeff...If you got one for this weekend we can Simul-mod. You can show Jason the spring install again (with my help as needed) while I rip out the alternator. Better yet, since the rear springs are totally easy why dont you do them while I do the alternator then we both can hit the front springs. Just a thought since Sunday is prolly gonna be my only day off in a while.

Sunday is always a good day to Screw, Nut, and Bolt.

Awhile back there was a recall concerning a ground wire.
It made my Battery light flick on and off when racing (at around 5000rpms)
Make sure that has been taken care of first. You may not need an alternator.
I had mine fixed and all has been good so far.
I may be stopping by Sun. for the spring install (if I have my clutch housing dropped and done by then)
anyway I could probably lend a hand if you need it.
Jason will know how to reach me.

Tony his AIM name is ahoy82, feel free to IM him etc, I ll hit him up tonight as he is coming to party like always lol.
He is deff. interested and is truly glad you told him all that you did. Even if you did call my frat bros at OSU ghey or whatever.... But Im over it cuz we all knew it lol. But yea, I like being in charge of things and not doing work so lastnight worked well.
Also for those of you that do not know yet(not many) I will be in Cleveland for like a month straight now working before school, and would love to get together, Tony didnt you say something about your dads boat?? And doesnt he have a Vette?? Uh Yes badass either way. I will have my cougar up there at some point so that I may work and make my custom stereo that we were supposed to do 2 wks ago, but everythings working out even better then I couldve expected.
Later, time to prep for the cars and shiat!!
